AP Story Notes DePauw Connection to New IU Assistant Football Coach

Bill Lynch Resize.jpgJanuary 1, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - A nationally distributed Associated Press story reports that Billy Lynch will become wide receivers coach at Indiana University, noting, "Lynch played for his father, Bill, at Ball State. Lynch's father [pictured at left] also served as an assistant at Indiana before taking over at Ball State in the 1990s. He now is the head coach at DePauw."

Billy Lynch comes to IU from Miami, where he served as an assistant to Terry Hoeppner, Indiana's new head coach. Read about his new job in the Cincinnati Post by clicking here.

Bill Lynch was 2004's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference co-Coach of the Year, leading DePauw to an 8-2 record in his first season.
