New Leader of Senate Democrats "Brings No Particular Stature to the Job," Prof. Ken Bode Tells Newspaper

January 4, 2005

January 4, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - A Reno News & Review profile of U.S. Senator Harry Reid, who was recently elected Senate Minority Leader, includes the analysis of a DePauw University faculty member. Dennis Myers writes, "DePauw University professor Ken Bode, former Washington Week in Review moderator who once managed a campaign against Reid, says the Nevada senator does not bring a record of accomplishment with him or a forceful personality: 'He brings no particular stature to the job... When he goes out and joins Nancy Pelosi and Terry McAuliffe, he joins them as the junior partner, and he shouldn't be.'"
