Wabash Grinds Out Victory, Reclaims Bell, 14-7

November 13, 1976

November 13, 1976, Crawfordsville, Ind. - A Wabash College ground game that amassed 211 yards on the day was too much for DePauw University to overcome in the 1976 Monon Bell Classic. Wabash prevailed 14-7 and finishes with a 7-3 record, its best since 1965. The Tigers close out the season 2-8.

"It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season," DePauw defensive back and co-captain Randy Wells said after the game.

The contest was played under sunny skies with a 40 degree temperature in front of approximately 4,400 fans.
