Rector Village Wins Design Award

February 16, 2005

February 16, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University's Rector Village is the recipient of the Indiana Concrete Masonry Association's 2004 Institutional Design Award. Constructed in the wake of the April 2002 fire at Rector Hall and completed in August 2004, Rector Village is composed of seven brick, townhome-style residence halls with single occupancy rooms, and common living and kitchen spaces. It was one of eleven projects honored at the ICMA's annual "Award of Excellence" banquet. DePauw, the architectural firm of CSO, Central Masonry and Edgewood Building Supply were recognized for their work on Rector Village.

Founded in 1958, ICMA recognizes all forms of masonry structures -- block, brick, stone -- anything laid by a mason by hand. Visit the organization's Web site by clicking here.
