Asked what his most interesting Winter Term project has been, Adams tells the paper, "In 2004, I spent January shadowing the staff at LaRue D. Carter Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis ... to gain a clearer perspective of what severe mental illness is like."

In ten years time, Adams says, "Professionally, I'd like to be conducting research in clinical psychology, focusing on the developmental and biological origins of severe mental illness. Personally, I'd also like to have a family and be active in the community."
