Three Student-Athletes -- Two Incoming Freshmen and One Sophomore -- Mentioned in Newspaper Reports

July 31, 2005

July 31, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "Chaminade's Tom O'Donnell has committed to play football at Division III power DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind," notes the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "O'Donnell was a second-team All-Metro Catholic Conference linebacker," the brief item adds.

Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Star reports, "Carmel's Eric Hudson will compete for DePauw University in Greencastle as a member of the baseball team. Hudson is a 6-1 outfielder."

Finally, a story in Illinois' Cary-Grove Countryside states, "DePauw sophomore Taylor Penrod, who ran on Barrington's state championship cross country team in 2003, can't wait to tackle triathlons after she graduates and has more time to train. 'How far can you push yourself?' asked Penrod, who works out with the Barrington-based Big Pond Running Club. 'How much can your body take? There's an appeal to that.'" Penrod is a member of the women's track and field team at DePauw.
