Environmentally-Friendly Practice of Bestselling Author Barbara Kingsolver '77 Noted in USA Today

August 4, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "It's not easy being green, but a small and growing number of authors are asking publishers to print their books on environmentally friendly paper," and Barbara Kingsolver is among them, according to USA Today. "Less than 5% of U.S. books are printed that way," the article notes. Kingsolver, a 1977 graduate of DePauw University, is the author of The Poisonwood Bible, Prodigal Summer, The Bean Trees, and Last Stand: America's Virgin Lands, a collaboration with National Geographic photographer Annie Griffiths Belt.
