Author Cathy Day '91 to Appear on NPR & in New York Times This Weekend

August 23, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Cathy Day -- author of The Circus in Winter, assistant professor of English at the University of Pittsburgh's MFA program, and 1991 graduate of DePauw University -- will be a guest on this weekend's edition of National Public Radio's Studio 360. Day, whose book appeared on at least two "Best of 2004" lists and received praise in numerous media outlets and was one of three finalists for the Story Prize, will discuss the circus with the program's host Kurt Anderson.

That same weekend, Day's book will be featured in the New York Times Book Review's cathy day circus paperback.jpg"Paperback Row." The Circus in Winter was released in paperback in June. The novel has been nominated for the Great Lakes Book Award.
