All-American Janie Hodgkinson '02 Named to SCAC's 15th Anniversary Volleyball Team

janie hodgkinson.jpgOctober 13, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference has recognized Lake Forest High School graduate Janie Hodgkinson by naming her to its 15th Anniversary [Volleyball] Team," notes the Lake Forester of suburban Chicago. A 2002 graduate of DePauw, "Hodgkinson played basketball and volleyball at LFHS before making a name for herself on the volleyball court at DePauw University where she became that school's first All-American. In 2001, she was the SCAC Player of the Year."

The conference's official announcement of the 15th anniversary volleyball team states, "Hodgkinson was a four-time First Team All-SCAC performer, culminating with the SCAC Player-of-the-Year award her senior year in 2001. Hodgkinson, who is the league's all-time leader in kills (2,214), finished second in the POTY voting in 1998 volleyball.jpgand 2000 and third in 1999. During her four-year career, she led the Tigers to two NCAA Tournament appearances and was DePauw's first-ever volleyball All-American (2000)."
