Associated Press Article on New Civil Rights Book Cites Prof. Emeritus John Dittmer

john dittmer.jpgNovember 4, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "DePauw University history professor John Dittmer, author of 1995's Local People: The Struggle for Civil Rights in Mississippi, praises Crosby's book," states an Associated Press story on author Emilye Crosby's A Little Taste of Freedom: The Black Struggle in Claiborne County, Mississippi. "In a cover blurb, Dittmer writes that A Little Taste of Freedom is 'the most comprehensive account of race relations in a southern community I have come across in years,'" writes the AP's Emily Wagster Pettus.
