Five Tigers earn all-SCAC honors; Lippincott named Offensive Player of the Year

lippincott091804.jpgNovember 18, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Senior midfielder Craig Lippincott headlined five DePauw players who were named to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Team in voting by the conference's 10 head coaches.

Lippincott (pictured) scored six goals and set a DePauw single-season record with 11 assists this season. His first team selection was the fourth consecutive in his career.

Senior defender Michael Hurley and junior forward Nick Noel were also selected to the first team. Hurley earned third team honors in 2003. Noel, who led the Tigers with 11 goals and 28 total points, was also voted the conference's co-Newcomer of the Year with Rose-Hulman's Trey Buck.

Senior forward Blake Porter and sophomore midfielder Jeremy Rielley were voted to the third team. Porter was also a third team choice in 2004.

The Tigers finished the 2005 season with an 11-4-2 overall record and tied for second in the SCAC with a 6-2-1 conference mark.
