Acclaimed Koresh Dance Company Performs Tuesday Night

November 28, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "This company can deliver," wrote the Philadelphia Inquirer of the Koresh Dance Company, featuring performances in which "Hyper athletes dance at warp speed," according to the Knoxville News-Sentinel. This Tuesday, November 29, DePauw University's Performing Arts Series presents the Koresh Dance Company in a program that is free and open to all. It begins at 7:30 p.m. in Moore Theatre of DePauw's Performing Arts Center.
Known for their commanding stage presence and high-energy performances, the Koresh ensemble will perform a newly-put-together eclectic evening of pieces which range from the lighthearted to darkly intense. Founded in 1991 by Israeli-born choreographer and artistic director Ronen Koresh, the Philadelphia-based ensemble presents an exciting blend of ballet, modern and jazz styles.
In addition to works created by Koresh the company also regularly features pieces created by such notable choreographers as Donald Byrd and Brian Sanders of Momix.
