Schott named SCAC Player of the Week

November 28, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw sophomore post Stephen Schott was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance in the Tigers' two wins last week.
Schott had a career-high 23 points in the Mike Rokicki Community versus Cancer Challenge championship game as the Tigers earned the 88-83 overtime win over Manchester.
Schott averaged a double-double of 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in the tournament and sank 68.2% (15-22) of his shots from the floor. He also added three assists and two steals as the Tigers improved to 2-2 in the early going.
For the season, Schott is averaging 16.8 points (eighth in the SCAC) and a league-high 9.8 rebounds per game. He is second in the SCAC in field goal percentage at 68.4% (26-38).
The 2-2 Tigers return to action on Wednesday, November 30, when they travel to Wabash for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
