Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame to Induct Harley "Skip" Collins '65

November 29, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - Harley G. "Skip" Collins, a teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida and 1965 graduate of DePauw University, is among 14 men who will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. "Inductees are selected by a committee from the Hall of Fame," notes today's Indianapolis Star. "The ceremony will be March 22 at Primo's Banquet Hall in Indianapolis."

The newspaper's profile of Collins, who played high school basketball at Valparaiso, point out that ec tower snow 2005.jpghe "played on four sectional winners for the Vikings and later at DePauw. Later became a 20-year high school coach. In nine seasons at Valpo, his teams went 162-63 and won eight sectional, three regional and five Duneland Conference titles."
