DePauw improves to 10-1 with ninth straight win

December 28, 2005, Phoenix, Ariz. - The 10th-ranked Tigers improved to 10-1 with a 76-63 win over Lewis & Clark at the Grand Canyon Classic. The Pioneers dropped to 5-4 with the loss.
The Tigers closed the first half by scoring the final nine points and went to the intermission with a 48-30 lead and the lead reached as many as 22 points early in the second half.
Liz Bondi led DePauw with 18 points, while Suzy Doughty and Kalei Lowes each scored 11. Lindsay Houin followed with 10. Carrie Sentlivre led Lewis and Clark with 19, while Sarah Moon added 12.
DePauw hit 50.9 percent from the floor including 59.4 percent in the first half while holding the Pioneers to 41.2 percent for the game and just 34.6 percent in the first half.
The Tigers also held a 35-28 lead on the boards with Houin hauling down nine. Shawna Castle and Sara Kettler each grabbed seven for Lewis and Clark.
DePauw faces Viterbo on Thursday at 6 p.m. MST.Back
