Men's Basketball Team Advances to Tampa Bay Shootout Title Game

DSC_7321.jpgDecember 29, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - "Todd Capes scored 19 points and four other DePauw players had double-digit performances as the Tigers beat Kalamazoo 88-65 on Thursday in the first round of the Tampa Bay Shootout in Tampa, Fla.," begins a story in Michigan's Flint Journal. "DePauw (5-6) led 42-21 at halftime after shooting 15-of-30 (50 percent) from the floor in the first half and holding the Hornets to 8-of-27 (30 percent). Kalamazoo (3-7) improved its shooting to 17-of-32 (53 percent) in the second half, but DePauw also got better, making 17 of its 29 shots (59 percent) from the field."
