Keith Anderson '79 to Participate in Webcast on Tax Issues Facing Not-for-Profits

January 10, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Keith R. Anderson, partner in the Chicago office of Gardner Carton & Douglas LLP and 1979 graduate of DePauw University, "will discuss critical issues hospitals must address to avoid revocation of their not-for-profit tax-exempt status" in a webcast presented by National City Bank. The event, scheduled for Friday, January 27 at noon eastern time, is titled "Financial Implications of Recent Attacks on Not-for-Profit Hospital Status." It "will cover warning signals that tax-exempt status may be at risk, the importance of quantifying hospitals' commitment to community care, important points to include in the Written Charity Care Policy, and details relating to the property tax challenge," according to a story at Yahoo! News.
The text also notes, "Anderson is regularly involved in negotiating and structuring health industrymergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, and physician-hospital initiatives. He also has extensive experience in the development of managed care contracting and corporate structuring.
