Ninth-ranked Tigers roll to 14th straight win

January 15, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior Liz Bondi notched a career-high 32 points on 14-of-17 shooting to lead the ninth-ranked Tigers to a 106-66 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win over visiting Sewanee.
DePauw improved to 15-1 overall and 5-0 in the SCAC with its 14th straight win, while the visiting Tigers dropped to 9-6 overall and 1-4 in the SCAC.
The Tigers broke the game open midway through the first half with a 23-4 run and led at the break, 53-23. DePauw connected on 59.4 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes on the way to the season-best 53-point first half.
Bondi's 32 points marked the second-best DePauw single-game performance behind Jenny Bauer's school-record 40 points in 1985. In just 24 minutes, she added five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals.
Caitlin McGonigal added a season-high 18 and Lindsay Houin followed with 10. Suzy Doughty and Cassie Pruzin each dished out seven assists with Pruzin's establishing a career best. The Tigers held a 36-32 edge on the boards paced by Maisha Cadet-Duval's seven.
Dani Pettay led Sewanee with 13 followed by Sally Jackson with 12 and Jamie McConnell with 10. Jackson grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
The Tigers' 106 points were the second most in school history and the win was DePauw's 21st straigh SCAC home win.
DePauw travels to Millsaps on Friday, January 20, while Sewanee hosts Maryville (Tenn.) on Wednesday, January 18.Back
