Tigers in second after Thursday competition

February 9, 2006, Cleveland, Miss. - The DePauw women's swimming and diving team totaled 192 points on the first full day of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships and is in second place. Trinity is first with 289 and Sewanee is third with 181.

The 200-yard free relay of Katie Doogan, Amanda Stier, Megan Davenport and Maddison Hamil won in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:38.40. Doogan also earned all-SCAC honors by winning the 200 individual medley for the second straight year in an NCAA provisional time of 2:10.86.

Hamil won the 50 free in 24.55 seconds and her prelim time of 24.48 was an NCAA provisional time. Davenport also earned all-SCAC honors with a third-place finish in 24.75 seconds. The 400 medley relay of Doogan, Hamil, Stier and Davenport won in 4:01.27.
