Gill and Curosh earn SCAC honors

- DePauw designated player Rachel Gill and pitcher Lauren Curosh have earned Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors after the Tigers recorded a four-game sweep over Rose-Hulman.
Gill was named offensive player of the week after hitting .727 for the week (8-11) with three doubles and a triple. She had two hits in each of the wins and scored six runs and drove in seven more. She posted an on-base percentage of .769 and slugged 1.182 for the weekend.
For the season, Gill is hitting .328 with 10 doubles (tied for second in the SCAC), 15 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
Curosh shared pitcher of the week honors with Erica Douglas of Millsaps after going 4-0 with a 1.11 ERA in the sweep of Rose-Hulman. She worked 19.0 innings, allowed 20 hits, three earned runs and struck out 10 while walking two. Curosh pitched a one-hit shutout in the series finale.
For the season, Curosh is sixth in the SCAC in ERA (2.64) and is second in the league in innings pitched (103.1). She is also tied for the league lead in wins with 12 and is tied for seventh in strikeouts with 46.
The Tigers host Sewanee on Friday and Saturday in SCAC doubleheaders.
