Poet & Prof. Eugene Gloria in Indianapolis Star Spotlight

April 16, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - "Hoodlum Birds, a poetry collection by award-winning Indiana poet Eugene Gloria, has been released by Penguin Books, just in time for National Poetry Month. Gloria is associate professor of English at DePauw University, Greencastle," notes today's Indianapolis Star "Quick Reads" column. It adds, "Gloria's first collection of poems, Drivers at the Short-Time Motel, (Penguin Books), won the Asian American Literary Award in 2001. It also was selected for the 1999 National Poetry Series."
