Jessica Schneider 2006.jpgJune 10, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - "Jessica Schneider is continuing her career on the Futures Tour," notes a story in the Chicago Daily Heraldon the golfer and 2004 DePauw graduate. "The former DePauw University All-American, has played in two Futures events this season in Lafayette, La., and El Paso, Tex.," writes Mike Miazga. "To start the week, Schneider was the No. 3 alternate at this weekend’s Futures event at St. Anne in Kankakee." The Duramed Futures Tour is the official developmental tour of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA).

"I watch the list almost daily to see if I am getting closer to being in the field," Schneider says. "Sometimes I don’t know if I’m in the field until the day of registration, so I have to travel to the tournament site ready to play, hoping for the chance that I will get in. The most difficult thing for me is the unknown, especially for someone as organized as I like to be because I can’t make travel plans until the last minute. Sometimes, I have found that these 'breaks' from tournaments have been good for me because it has allowed me to focus on finishing my swing, instead of putting my progress on holdDuramed Futures Tour.jpg and finding a transition swing for each tournament (which is how it went last year). For me, it’s all a learning experience."
