Bottoms. "From our perspective, we would like very much for Birmingham-Southern to come into our conference," Dr. Bottoms tells the newspaper. Bottoms and the other SCAC directors heard from Birmingham-Southern President David Pollick at their meeting in Atlanta last week. "We told him the invitation is yours as soon as you get permission from the NCAA. In the presentation Dr. Pollick made, hetold us they were planning to add football and it certainly enhanced their attractiveness."scaclogo.jpg

Perrin writes that Birmingham-Southern's "four-year transition from NCAA Division I to non-scholarship Division III will begin June 1, 2007, if it is approved by the NCAA later this month."
