"Creative and Resourceful" Graduates Will Find Jobs in Tough Market, Tom Cath '76 Tells Christian Science Monitor

June 7, 1993, Greencastle, Ind. - "There are fewer opportunities," Tom Cath, director of career planning at DePauw University, is quoted in today's Christian Science Monitor. "But they are out there for those who are creative and resourceful, have thick skins, and are persistent." Cath, a 1976 graduate of DePauw, is cited in an article on the tough job market college graduates are entering.
"For many college seniors this spring, graduation is not the long-awaited jump from academia to the workplace, it is the moment to start looking for a job full time," writes David C. Walters. "Instead of heading straight for a career-track position, many of this year's graduates are heading home to start a job search that promises to be grueling."
