Randy Reifers '68 Lone Remaining Amateur in US Senior Open

Randy Reifers.jpgJuly 8, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Through 36 holes of the 2006 U.S. Senior Open, "Randy Reifers is the lone remaining amateur in the field which included 34 amateurs at the start," reports Dave Senko at PGA Tour.com. "Reifers is currently tied for 28th after rounds of 71-73 (+4) going into Saturday's third round. The Columbus, Ohio, resident was a college teammate of former Vice President Dan Quayle at DePauw University in Indiana." Reifers is a 1968 graduate of DePauw; the tournament is being played at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Kansas.
