Lisa Campagnoli Bloom '92 to Perform in South Bend Recital

East College Tight.jpgJuly 11, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Lisa Campagnoli Bloom, a mezzo-soprano who performs with Vesper Chorale and 1992 graduate of the DePauw University School of Music, will appear in a recital in South Bend, Indiana on Sunday, July 23. The Web site of NBC affilate WNDU-TV reports that Bloom will be joined by Jeremy Stayton, baritone, and Wishart Bell, piano in a 7:30 p.m. program at Kern Road Mennonite Church. "Repertoire will include art songs and arias by Bach, Handel, Debussy, Rossini, and others, as well as spiritual arrangements by Hogan and Burleigh."

The item notes that "Lisa Bloom is a graduate of DePauw University and The Cleveland Institute of Music with degrees in vocal performance. She is a native of Elkhart and has returned to the area after time in Milwaukee, New York, and Bloomington. Her operatic roles have included Baba in Menotti's The Medium, the Princess in Puccini's Suor Angelica, and Mother Goose in Stravinsky's The Rake's Progress. She currently teaches voice in the area, as well as singing with Vesper Chorale, Cantus DePauw Logo White.jpgCathedralis at the Cathedral of St. Matthew, and the choir of First United Methodist Church."
