Sarah Summers.jpgAugust 8, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Sarah E. Summers, a junior English major at DePauw University, contributes an article to the August edition of Indianapolis Monthly magazine. Titled "A Lot Riding on It," the story examines two non-profit organizations -- Theraplay and Hope Haven Horse Farm -- that use horses to deliver therapy to children with physical and behavioral challenges.

The "Contributors" page at the front of the magazine notes, "Before visiting the Children's Theraplay Foundation, the equine-assisted therapy clinic ... Sarah Summers preferred to admire horses from afar. 'I was sure wearing sandals to the interview would keep me safely on the ground,' she says. The therapist she interviewed had other ideas, and fitted Summers in some child-sized socks and old tennis shoes. From there, Summers rode one of Indy Monthly Cover Aug 2006.jpgTheraplay's newest horses -- facing backward -- and experienced some of the movements used in therapy." The paragraph notes that Summers is a student at DePauw.
