Tigers finish gridiron season at Wabash in 113th meeting with Little Giants; 75th for Monon Bell

Monon Bell 2006 Logo.gifNovember 8, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - The 6-3 Tigers wrap up their 119th season of intercollegiate play on Saturday when they travel to Crawfordsville for the 113th meeting with Wabash College and the 75th for possession of the 300-pound Monon Bell.

The game will be nationally televised by HDNet with kickoff set for just after 1 p.m. EST from Byron P. Hollett Little Giant Stadium. The game will also be carried live by DePauw campus station WGRE and by ESPN950 in Indianapolis.

In the series that began in 1890, Wabash leads 52-51-9, while DePauw holds a 35-33-6 edge in Monon Bell games. Wabash broke the series tie with last year's 17-14 victory in Greencastle. A complete history of the Monon Bell rivalry is available here.

The Tigers are 6-3 after last Saturday's 24-14 win over Austin College, while the Little Giants are 7-2 following a 41-14 win at Denison.

Tickets for the DePauw side are no longer available for purchase on the DePauw campus, but will be available at the gate on Saturday morning.
