DePauw Chamber Players Perform Sunday Evening

November 10, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - The DePauw University Chamber Players will present their first concert of the season this Sunday, 7:30 p.m. in Thompson Recital Hall. Composed of faculty members Dan Rizner (violin), Eric Edberg (cello) and May Phang (piano), the ensemble will be peforming one of the most famous pieces of chamber music, Mozart's G Minor Piano Quartet. Also on the program is the Piano Trio in C minor by Felix Mendelssohn. The program is free and open to the public.
Nicole Brockmann, viola, will join the DePauw Chamber Players for the concert. "We are really excited to be performing with our new viola professor, Nicole Brockmann, who is an exceptional artist," says Professor Edberg.
Brockmann received an M.M., A.D., and D.M.A. from Yale University. She is a four-time winner of the Yale Chamber Music Competition and has studied chamber music with members of the Tokyo, Vermeer, and Orion String Quartets.
