Kathy Vrabeck '85 Elected to AVP, Inc. Board

Kathy Vrabeck 2.jpgNovember 14, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Kathy (Patterson) Vrabeck, former president of Activision Publishing and 1985 graduate of DePauw University, has been elected to the board of directors of AVP, Inc. (OTC BB: AVPI). The firm is a lifestyle sports entertainment company focused on professional beach volleyball.

"Kathy's extensive experience and expertise in licensing and global brand management, particularly with major corporate sponsors who target our demographics, will enhance our ongoing efforts to attract additional sponsors and advertisers," says Leonard Armato, chief executive officer of AVP. "Kathy brings a proven track record of achievement including being named to the Hollywood Reporter's '100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment' in both 2003 and 2004 and named by Business Week's March 2005 issue as one of '25 Up and Coming Media Executives.' An announcement at PR Newswiredetails Kathy Vrabeck's rise at Activision. She previously served as senior vice president of marketing at ConAgra grocery products and held executive positions at Pillsbury. It notes, "She began her career at Eli Lilly & Company. Ms. Vrabeck received her BA from DePauw University and her M.B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington."
