Stoffregen named SCAC Coach of the Year

November 3, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw's Kori Stoffregen has been selected Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Coach-of-the-Year for the seventh consecutive year. He also was named the women's Coach of the Year for a fourth consecutive time.
The 27th-ranked DePauw men won their seventh straight SCAC Cross Country title with 48 points – just 11 points in front of the host school, Centre College.
The Tigers were 15 points better than third-place Colorado College and 22 points ahead of fourth-place Rhodes College. It was the closest finish for the men since the 1999 race at Hendrix College when Rhodes defeated Trinity University by nine points.
Zack Weinberg earned Newcomer-of-the-Year honors by virtue of being the top finisher among first-year runners. Weinberg crossed the finish line in 16th place with a time of 27:51.21.
