Baccich and Lane earn SCAC top honors

November 5, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior forward Allison Baccich was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference co-Offensive Player of the Year and head coach Carla Lane was named the conference's Coach of the Year for the second straight year.

Baccich, who shared the honor with Hilary Mast of Rhodes, led the league in scoring for the second straight season with an SCAC-record 13 goals. Her selection to the all-SCAC team was here third in as many years.

Joining Baccich on the all-SCAC team for the third straight year was senior forward Becca Gaines. Sophomore midfielder Meredith Ellis earned her second straight all-SCAC award, while junior defender Shannon Trabert was selected to the squad for the first time.

Lane was named the Coach of the Year for the second straight season and has led her teams to an 80-49 record in seven seasons.
