DePauw and Denison advance to Hasbrook title game

November 26, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Third-ranked DePauw scored the game's first 12 points and was never threatened on the way to an 89-33 win over the College of St. Elizabeth in the second game of the Amy Hasbrook Memorial Tournament.

DePauw (3-1) faces Denison (3-1) in Sunday's 4 p.m. title game. Denison defeated Rose-Hulman (3-1) by a 64-54 score in the evening's first contest.

DePauw took a 51-18 lead into the intermission on the strength of 59.5 percent shooting from the floor and opened the second half with a 10-2 run.

Emily Marshall was the lone Tiger in double figure with 11 points as 16 different DePauw players scored. Marshall and Adedrea Chaney each grabbed six rebounds as DePauw held a 41-26 edge on the boards and snagged 19 offensive rebounds.

Sarah Kozlowski paced the Eagles (1-2) with eight points and six rebounds.

In the evening's first game, Kristen Sheffield scored 23 points, grabbed nine rebounds, hit five three-pointers and blocked five shots to pace Denison to the 10-point win. Katie Tharp and Rebekah Forsyth each scored 13 to lead the Engineers.
