Schott named SCAC Player of the Week
December 4, 2006December 4, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Junior post Stephen Schott has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Monday, November 27 through Sunday, December 3. The honor was Schott's second of his career. Schott hit 10 of 17 field goals on the way to 25 points in the Tigers' 73-67 victory over Centre on Saturday. In the SCAC opener for both teams, he also had five rebounds. In Tuesday's 92-82 victory over Wabash, Schott had 18 points and six rebounds and connected on 6 of 12 shots from the field. For the week, Schott averaged 21.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and sank 55.2% (16-29) of his shots from the field. Schott is currently tied for third in the SCAC in scoring, averaging 19.3 points per game and is fourth in rebounding with 8.3 boards per game. He is shooting 57.5% from the floor (seventh in the SCAC).
