Playing on 2 Different Coasts, Tiger Teams Advance to Finals of Basketball Tournaments

DSC_8478.JPGDecember 30, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - "Hamilton plays nationally ranked No. 22 DePauw University today in the championship of the tournament," notes today's edition of New York's Utica Observer-Dispatch. DePauw (9-1), ranked #22 in Division III, advanced to the final game of the Tampa Bay Shootout by defeating Dallas yesterday, 104-78. Today's game tips off at 3 p.m. and can be heard live via student radio station WGRE.

The women's basketball team, currently rated #5 in the nation, advanced to the championship game of the San Diego Surf N' Slam Classic Friday with a 69-59 win over 21st-ranked Medaille. The Tigers (10-1) take on NAIA Division I's 15th-ranked and tournament host Point Loma Nazarene in today's 4 p.m. (PST; 7 p.m. Greencastle time) championship game.
