Student-Produced Documentary Takes Third Place at Michigan Film Festival

Movie Reel Film.jpgFebruary 8, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Returning from Iraq: War Zone to Workplace -- a documentary produced by current DePauw University seniors Andrea Dres, Adam McClean, Lindsay Morris and Teddy Tutson, and 2006 graduate Jenny Morrissey -- took third place in the college division of Michigan’s Muskegon Film Festival last weekend. The 30-minute film, produced in the fall of 2005 as part of Professor Ken Bode's "Documentary Television" course, examiness the issues American veterans face after returning home from the war as told from the perspective of a National Guard veteran. The award is noted in the Muskegon Chronicle.

The annual festival, launched in 2002, features a two-day slatebode may 16 2005 hardball.jpgof films screened in the Frauenthal and Beardsley Theaters in downtown Muskegon.

The student film also earned a third placeaward at Cleveland's Indie Gathering Film Festival in August 2006.
