Aztlan-GuerrerMacia1.jpgFebruary 9, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "Organized by Kaytie Johnson, director and curator of DePauw's university galleries, 'Leaving Aztlán' features the work of 11 artists from throughout the country, working in media that range from painting and sculpture to photography, video and installation," writes S.L. Berry in today's Indianapolis Star. The exhibition "shows how American artists from Spanish-speaking cultures are breaking out of their cultural molds, producing work that challenges stereotypes and fits within the larger, global context of contemporary art," notes the newspaper of the exhibition that is on view at DePauw's William Weston Clarke Emison Museum of Art through May 10.
