Field Goal with 28 Seconds Left Gives DePauw Victory & Monon Bell

November 12, 1966

November 12, 1966, Crawfordsville, Ind. - A 22-yard field goal by DePauw's Tim Feemster with just 28 seconds remaining in the game gave DePauw University a 9-7 victory over host Wabash College today and allowed the Tigers to reclaim possession of the Monon Bell. Wabash led the entire game until a late DePauw drive set up the winning score. Tom Mont's troops close the season with a 3-6 record; Wabash finishes at 4-4-1.

The Bell had been in Greencastle continuously since 1955 until Wabash reclaimed the prize with a 16-6 victory last November.
