Men & Women Advance to Semifinals of SCAC Basketball Tourneys

schott112806.jpgFebruary 24, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Both DePauw University basketball teams advanced in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference basketball tournaments in Memphis, Tennessee, last night. The women's squad, ranked #11 in the nation, improved to 23-3 with a 82-58 win over Sewanee (University of the South), while the #22 men upped their record to 22-4 by downing Sewanee, 84-72."  Both Tiger squads are top seeds.

The tourneys continue today. On the women's side, "The second semifinal will pit top-seeded DePauw" against Austin at 4 p.m. (Greencastle time) today, reports the Memphis Commercial Appeal. With a last second victory over Oglethorpe, Trinity's men "face defending champion and top seed DePauw today," notes the San Antonio Express-News.
