DePauw Talents to Contribute to Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society Concert

February 22, 2007

February 22, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - "Nationally accomplished baroque violinist Allison Guest Edberg will headline the Tippecanoe Chamber Music Society's latest concert," states today's Journal and Courier of Lafayette, Indiana. The story previewing Sunday's 3 p.m. program, "Baroque 'n Hearted," notes that Edberg has taught in the DePauw University School of Music "and is a member of numerous Indiana music groups including the Indianapolis Baroque Orchestra."

The performance -- whose other participants include DePauw Professor Eric Edberg -- will take place at Duncan Hall, 619 Ferry Street. Advance tickets are $11, and will be $12 at the door and $6 for students.

Tim Brouk writes that Allison Edberg "has recorded for Elektra Records and has toured the nation as a member of Ensemble Voltaire, Olde Friends and Musica Eklesia. As a baroque violinist, Edberg performs old music that predates many of classical music's masters."
