DePauw drops opening game at Port Charlotte Invitational

March 26, 2007, Port Charlotte, Fla. - DePauw dropped to 10-9 on the season following a 17-0 loss to 29th-ranked St. Olaf at the Port Charlotte Invitational. The Oles improved to 9-1 with the victory.

Paul Shrewsbury allowed just two hits in his seven-inning complete game as he improved to 1-0 on the season. The Oles jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first before adding four in the third, three in the fourth, one in the fifth and six in the sixth.

Kyle Thompson and Eric Reese each had one hit for the Tigers, while Chris Terrazas and Luke Gagnon each had three of the Oles' 18 hits. Patrick Henry dropped to 0-1 with the loss.

The two teams face each other on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
