Two Tigers named SCAC Players of the Week

- DePauw's Kaitlyn Davitt and Lauren Curosh were named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Players of the Week for their performances from March 12-18.
Davitt was named the Offensive Player of the Week after hitting .571 on the week with 10 runs scored and 12 runs driven in as DePauw improved to 8-0 overall with six victories last week.
Davitt had four doubles and a home run among her 12 hits. For the season, she is hitting a league-leading .552 (16-29) with six doubles, a home run and 15 RBIs and is slugging .862.
Curosh was named the co-Pitcher of the Week along with Austin's Aubrey Larmour. She went 3-0 on the week with an ERA of 2.33 to improve to 4-0 for the season.
She defeated St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) on Wednesday, Austin College on Saturday and Hendrix College on Sunday - tossing complete games in two of the three outings.
On the week, Curosh allowed 18 hits in 18.0 innings, striking out 13 while walking four. She ranks fourth in the SCAC in ERA at 2.43 and is allowing batters just a .247 batting average (fifth in the SCAC). Curosh has struck out 16 in 23.0 innings and her four wins ties for fourth-best in the league.
