Extra Inning Loss in NCAA Tournament Ends Softball Season

megansoultz042807.jpgMay 21, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - At the NCAA Division III softball championship Sunday, "Plattsburgh State edged No. 4 seed DePauw, 2-1, in eight innings after the Tigers tied it in the seventh," reports New York's Plattsburgh Press Republican. "DePauw's Megan Soultz went the distance and gave up seven hits."

With yesterday's game in Salem, Virginia, DePauw finished the season at 37-7. The Tigers' six seniors (Lauren Curosh, Annie Morgan, Kristy Mahon, Jessica Bowlds, Jessica Krueger and Laura Schlensker) finished their careers with a 107-58-1 record including a 68-17 mark over the last two seasons.
