Sister Dana Augustin '90 Professes First Vows

East College Yellow Leaves.gifJuly 4, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Dana Augustin from St. Mary Parish in Richmond, a 1990 graduate of DePauw University, "was among three Sisters of Providence who professed first vows Sunday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods," reports Indiana's Richmond Palladium-Item. "Sister Dana entered the congregation Sept. 16, 2004. She is a graduate of DePauw University with a bachelor’s degree in music. She currently ministers as the supervisor of biomass processing, part of the facilities management staff at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods."

The newspaper adds, "The Sisters of Providence, a congregation of nearly 450 women, have their motherhouse at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, located northwest of Terre Haute. Saint Mother Theodore Guerin founded the Sisters of Providence at Newspapers 011Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in 1840. Today, Sisters of Providence minister in 20 states, the District of Columbia, Taiwan and China."
