Dan Quayle '69 Joins Lance Armstrong and Others in Charity Golf Tournament

Dan Quayle 2007 Golf.jpgJuly 9, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Dan Quayle, America's 44th Vice President and 1969 graduate of DePauw University, will join Lance Armstrong and 79 other luminaries at the pro-am event preceding the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship at Lake Tahoe, Nevada, July 13-15. Additional competitors in the charity event will include Jerry Rice, Carson Palmer, Don Cheadle, Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, Kevin Nealon and ESPN's Dan Patrick.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports, "The 18th edition of the tournament will be broadcast on ESPN2 on Friday and by NBC on the weekend. It benefits the Lance Armstrong Foundation, which helps people with cancer and funds cancer research, dan quayle bush.jpgas well as a special fire relief fund set up for an estimated 3,500 local residents displaced by a recent wildfire that destroyed more than 250 homes"
