Stubborn Tigers Hold Off Wabash and Reclaim Monon Bell, 8-0

November 13, 1948, Crawfordsville, Ind. - The Monon Bell is back on the DePauw University campus tonight as a result of today's 8-0 Tiger triumph over Wabash College. The visitors recovered a Wabash fumble in the first half and capitalized when John Behler hit Chuck Vear with a 23-yard touchdown pass.
Coach Mike Snavely's squad winds up the 1948 season with a 6-2 record in a campaign filled with defensive struggles. DePauw outscored its opponents by only eleven points,
72-61.
