Monon Bell Will Remain in Crawfordsville After 27-7 Tiger Setback
November 15, 1947
November 15, 1947, Greencastle, Ind. - Wabash College took an early lead and never looked back as the Little Giants defeated DePauw University and kept their grip on the Monon Bell this afternoon, 27-7. The Tigers close out the 1947 season with a 2 and 6 record; Wabash improved to 5-1-2.
The visiting squad's Don Knutson started the day's scoring with a 5 yard scoring run, then Frank Roman pranced in, untouched, on a quarterback sneak from 34 yards out, and there was no looking back for Wabash.
