Prof. Russell Compton to Address 'Christianity and Liberal Education' at Conference

Compton, professor and chair of the philosophy and religion department at DePauw University, will present a paper at the February 18-19 meeting of the National Association of Biblical Instructors. Dr. Compton's presentation is entitled, "Christianity and Liberal Education." The event is taking place in Evanston, Illinois.

Professor Compton serves as president of the association's Midwest section. He was elected to the post in 1953.

Before joining the DePauw faculty in September 1951, Professor Compton taught at Wesley College, Hendrix College and Hamline University. He received his B.A. from Manchester College in 1931, his B.D. from Garrett Biblical Institute (1935) and earned a Ph.D. from Yale University (1939).
