California Film Festival to Screen Project by Two 2007 Graduates

October 3, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Shades of Grace, a short film by 2007 DePauw University graduates Bryan Dobrik and Luis Davila, will be screened at the inaugural Kern Projections Film Festival in Bakersfield, California, October 10-14. The new event is designed to showcase Kern County, California, where more than 500 films have been shot in the past century, including 17 released or produced in 2007, including Oceans Thirteen.
Dobrik and Davila's film, their first-ever cinematic effort, recently took the "Audience Choice Best Drama" award at the Independent Features Film Festival in New York. Shades of Grace was also named the "Best Student Film" at the Long Island International Film Expo 2007. The 57-minute production was also deemed "Best Crime Drama - Short Film" by Cleveland's Indie Gathering.
