Tigers Lose to Panthers, 3-2

October 5, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw battled back from deficits twice, but visiting Birmingham-Southern scored the game-winning goal with less than 20 minutes remaining and defeated the Tigers, 3-2. DePauw dropped to 2-9 on the season, while the Panthers improved to 7-2 with the win.
Birmingham-Southern's Caitlin Gordon scored, unassisted, at 26:55 before DePauw's Stephanie Patton knotted the contest at 1-1 at 28:32. The Panthers went to halftime with a 2-1 lead on Mandy Woods' score at 39:12 with an assist from Gordon.
DePauw again tied the contest when Julia Drummond scored at 63:50 on Patton's assist, but Birmingham-Southern won the game when Gordon delivered her second goal of the evening on an assist from Anne McIntyre at 70:35.
The Panthers outshot DePauw 10-9, while each team totaled two corner kicks. Brittany Green recorded five saves in goal for Birmingham-Southern and Brooke Shipley finished with five for the Tigers.
DePauw hosts Millsaps on Sunday at noon, while the Panthers travel to Centre.Back
